This was our first litter of Canaan Dogs, and two, Benji and Beth, stayed with us. The stud dog, Sivan, was, at that time, the best Canaan Dog in the UK. Bred in Israel, by Myrna Shiboleth, he came over to the UK when his owners, Ilan and Anne, moved to live here. Sadly, Ilan was not interested in showing, for he certainly would have wiped the board and brought great prestige to the breed with Sivan’s wonderful temperament.
There were 7 puppies, 5 bitches and 2 dogs, in this litter: Babrees Benjamin D’Israeli (Benji, red & white boy who stayed with us); Babrees Bethea Batyam (Beth, black & White girl who stayed with us); Babrees Bat Benyas At Nizzana (Livvie, black & white with heavy ticking); Babrees Bright Blaise (Kelsey, black & white with heavy ticking); Babrees Beersheba Delight (Sheba, cream); Babrees Bathsheba Star (Eva, cream); Babrees Barnabas Of Benyas (Barney, black & white).
